Slow the Roll

Well, we're 1/2 way through my "summer" and maternity leave. The first part really flew by considering CA will be 7 weeks old tomorrow. Now that both kids are home things have slowed down a little bit - way down. I kinda miss the easy-breasy pick up and go that we had with C. Now everything revolves around CA - EVERYTHING. Not that I don't love it, but it's a huge change that I think I underestimated when we decided to get pregnant again.

So if we get out once a day (I totally need to get out at least once) that's pretty good for us. Getting groceries is a huge trip for us. We love to hit the library, local parks and playgrounds. C REALLY needs to get outside each day or else she gets squirrely. I keep my sanity by reminding myself that next summer we can do whatever since CA will be more mobile and "easy-breasy". For now, one day at a time is how we role.

I miss my friends which I was just getting to know again, but I will have to try harder to maintain those friendships because I value each of them so much. They keep me sane.

What a life - sincerely. I love my hubby, kids, family, and friends - I just wish I had more time for all of them.

  1. Sounds like you are getting into the groove of things. I can't believe it's been 7 weeks!
I imagine when you have to feed a baby every few hours that would make it hard to plan your day. I'm pretty flexible so whenever you'd like to get together let me know. (I think I'm taking next Thurs. off) Take care! :-)
