February is the month of birthdays around here. In fact, both grandmas celebrate their birthdays this month. When I asked C what we should get her Grandma P for a birthday gift, C responded with, "A chiropractor." Hmmmm. Well, that's interesting considering Grandma P is extremely spry for her age (not that her age is anything to balk at), and neither J nor I have been to the chiropractor in months. Hmmmm.
On Saturday, (yes, I know it's already Thursday people) when I asked C if you would like a hotdog for lunch she said, "Yes." Followed within a minute by this...
"Mom?"
"Yes?"
"Do we have quesadillas with ranch?"
"Um, sure I guess we do. Does that sound good?
"Yes, thank you."
So, apparently we have reached the age of requesting specialty items from the "Mom, can you make this" menu. Whatevs.
In other news we've dug out the baby stuff from the deep dusty basement to take stock in what we have and what we have to buy for baby #2. C stumbled across a bag full of her baby toys and played with them for like an hour. We had fun talking about her infant favorites and what not. Then of course she had to pull out every baby/stuffed animal she owned and give each one of them a toy to play with as well. Good to see that these toys are still well loved.
Ezra has been playing with the toys in Iris's room. And trying to wedge himself into the Bumbo. And the carseat. And the bouncer. It's kind of funny.
