Tick-Tock

Today I had my monthly visit to the obgyn. All went smoothly, we've quite blessed in this department. Blood pressure is still good, which is a blessing because with our first child, it went wonky and I had to make many a trip to the doctor and many a trip to the hospital for "stress tests" which really only stressed me out more. Anyway, blood pressure.... good. Baby heart rate... good. Ultrasound results... good. Due date, well that's been moved up from May 12 to April 29. Seems that little baby is bigger than one would expect from the given date of conception and since I'm fairly fuzzy on the where and when of several events I can't exactly pin down the date for the doctors. Let's just say the hubby and I were letting life happen and it, well...... it did. The doctor mentioned that she would like to order a second ultrasound in a month or two to make sure we're on track with the baby's development. So that puts me at about 25 weeks.

Great right? Except that it kinda put the mad panic on since our basement is still in the middle of a remodel, I can't work on the nursery until the basement is done (long story) and it needs to have a closet built, a paint job, and the carpet cleaned, further more I can't seem to decide on a scheme for decorating the nursery, I'm waffling back and forth about furniture for the nursery, I need to find a second hand (clean) glider, and I have to plan for a sub at work by writing about 2 months of lesson plans. Whoa! Oh, and I have to pull out all the baby stuff for round 2, while purchasing all that we'll need new for this wee one. Wait - what about names??????? I have this irrational fear that our child will be born and we won't be able to come up with a name for him/her.

Truly I am excited, but I'm also freaking out a bit. With our first child it seemed like we had all the time in the world to prepare. This pregnancy seems to have flown by and I feel so unprepared. I need a plan.
