Tonight the hubby had to pick up some "truck parts" and needed to swing on in to Tractor Supply. C luvs to go with Hubby-Man when he goes so she was more than pleased to take a trip to Tractor Suprise (as she refers to it - snicker) with him. Indeed there are many new and surprising things there for a 4-year-old so I see why she calls it this.......
Apparently Hubby-Man has been teaching her the lyrics to an old song from the 50's entitled, Ballad of Thunder Road, it's about red-necks running moonshine across the South. So she came home and started running around the house shouting "moonshine, moonshine, moonshine!" Sure, Hubby, that won't come up in a note from preschool tomorrow.... EVEN better, they stopped at McDonald's for their tradtional strawberry shake after visiting Tractor Surprise when C asked her daddy, "What do they use to make in with the strawberry shake?" "Is it moonshine?"
Daddy's response, "Uh no (Hubby laughing), they use strawberrys and ice cream. No moonshine."
Great. Thanks for teaching her about moonshining, "white lightening", and "mountain dew".
LOL! Too funny! I can't wait for he to ask her teacher if it's moonshine that she is drinking! J needs to remember he's Italian and his dad use to run a delivery business.....hmmmmm.......suspicions might arise.
