So why is it that total strangers (and their grimy kids) think that it's okay to touch my baby? Why is it that having breached baby touching etiquette in the first place they have to push the envelope even further and touch my baby on the face and his hands??? This makes me wonky and uncomfortable. I have SUCH a hard time saying, "Please don't touch my baby," to adults because I feel like they should know better for the love of pete. Now, when they let their germy kids paw my kid, then I have less of a problem, but it's still hard for me to speak up - it feels so rude. But hey, who's invading personal bubbles in the first place?
Being that I have kids and teach kids, I should understand that children don't always understand boundaries as well as adults and their personal space is much smaller than many adults. Still - I don't like it.
What would you say to a child or an adult (that you don't know) when they touch your baby on their face and hands??????? Oh and I've even had strangers put his pacifier in his mouth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So what would you say to that?????
Guess I need one of these signs.
